Cohort 2: Super Bowl LX

The future of sports media has arrived in the Bay Area! Following our historic debut at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, the Media Scholars Program (MSP) is making a lightning-fast return to the world’s biggest stage for the second time in our operating year.

We are thrilled to introduce our second-ever MSP cohort: seven powerhouse scholars hailing from UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, University of San Francisco, San Jose State University, and Dillard University. This milestone marks MSP’s first official expansion outside of its New Orleans roots, proving that our mission to empower the next generation of storytellers is now a national movement.

Our Founding Scholars

Cohort 1: Super Bowl LIX

The Media Scholars Program brought together 17 talented students from New Orleans institutions including Dillard University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Tulane University, Loyola University, Southern University at New Orleans, and the University of New Orleans. Representing diverse academic backgrounds in journalism, communications, and the arts, these scholars gained exclusive access to major events such as Super Bowl LIX, the HBCU Legacy Bowl, and the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. Through hands-on media production, mentorship, and professional networking, the program not only enhanced their technical skills but also elevated their confidence, expanded their portfolios, and opened doors to internships and career opportunities across the media and sports industries.
